WHY ONLY 60 PERCENT?

After receiving a few emails questioning the donation amount (60% vs. 100%), an explanation is in order.

A lot of thought and soul searching went into figuring out how much to donate to CARE's Haiti fund when a piece of my art sells. Unlike a simple donation that isn't part of a purchase, there are some other factors involved which make it much different than simply giving a donation.

I truly want to give as much as possible to this effort, but I also need a small amount of compensation for the time and materials involved. Unlike a celebrity who has millions, I am not wealthy and still need to pay my bills and buy art supplies. This will enable me to produce more artworks this year and offer them to you so that CARE and the people in Haiti will benefit.
