Is it sort of sick that the longest list is food or that I started with cleaning supplies? I'll add to this as time goes on.

Cleaning stuff:

Swiffer Wet (do you really want your floor clean or just sorta clean? Also, the solution these things are in will literally clean ANYTHING. Don't throw it away when the pads are gone, keep it in a bottle and use it like Windex.)

Windex. Of course.

Brawny paper towels. Not the "pick a size" either. Those are a waste of my time.

Potent Potables:

Simi Chardonnay. Best, most buttery wine ever. But they say it better than me.

Shingleback Shiraz. If you havn't had it, you just don't know. Amazing beginning, almost sexual middle and wondrous finish. All that for under 40 bucks. But don't take my word for it, look what wine spectator says.

A frosty cold beer, outside on a snowy day after you've been working hard or playing hockey. Preferably sitting in the snow waiting for you. But nothing dark or bitter, thanks.

Absolut Citron, This with some seltzer water and OJ and it's instant summer.

Jack Daniels. Nothing tastes this smokey and dark. Best straight or with coke. Just a little coke.

Edibles:

Extra Sharp Cheddar. Because it's the only cheese I can eat. I used to love the others, but they don't love me.

Silk Vanilla Soymilk. Without it my world would truly suck because I love cereal.

Chocolate Eclairs (with the custard - NOT the white icing crap - inside.
Picture here. Caloric Intake Here.

WalMart Deli Pizza. I know, it sounds gross, but try it and see, the price is amazing. Get the plain cheese, take it home and rake off the cheese and hold, put all your own fixings on it, put the cheese back on, bake at 450. DON'T BUY the surpreme. Get your own fixings, don't be lazy, just do it. You'll be happier. Besides, have you seen what those mushrooms look like? Now that's gross.

Lasagna after it's been reheated. In fact, make it and then don't serve it till the next day. It's way better.

Egg rolls from Lulu's in chicago. THE BEST, period. And I've tried eggrolls in about 30 states.

Dark chocolate. they say it hits the same part of your brain tha sex does. Just sayin.

York Peppermint Patty COOKIES. Have you tried these? Addictive. Please keep them away. It's like a cookie, but with the patty inside. Crunchy, minty... damn good.

A good, medium rare steak with a touch of teryaki grilled on. Gas grill, no charcoal. And never frozen, fresh from the store. That and a salad with garden-grown tomatoes and arugula... I'm in heaven. Heck, just skip the potato... unless.....

Ore Ida Tater Tots. I know, they're totally juvenile, but I love them, McD's hashbrowns and anything that resembles that kind of potato product.

Clothing:

New white sox with extra padding on the soles. Mmmm.

Cashmere anything. Do they make men's boxers with this? Just curious. Not that I'd wear them. No, really, I wouldn't. Well, maybe once.

Jeans and flannel shirts. Should be a uniform and almost is mine.

Black tshirts. Also Black crewneck sweaters.

Brand new, crisp white herringbone weave long sleave business shirt with buttondown collar. Hey, I got mine at Banana Republic for 30 bucks, that Hansen's place is way expensive.

New tennis shoes. Except the white is sort of blinding on a sunny day.

TV:

The Soup, with Joel McHale. And I thought I was sarcastic and silly.

New Adventures of Old Christine. A guilty pleasure and Wanda Sykes as a bonus. Dear CBS: QUIT MOVING HER SLOT AROUND and PUT FULL EPISODES ONLINE!!!

Kirstin Wiig from SNL. This woman needs her own show.

Frontline on PBS. Easily the best documentary news program on TV. And the narrator's voice is deadly serious, so you know it's important.

Heroes (I know, i know.)

Survivor Hey, i've narrowed down to one reality show so don't give me any guff. And really, this is the best one after all.

Law and Order Criminal Intent. Don't you love how Vincent D'onofrio wags his head around so much? And why doesn't Det. Eames ever just punch him? Talk about patience.

Judge Judy. You know she's right. Put on your listening ears!

Cops. Yet another guilty pleasure. Huhhh! Bad boys, bad boys.

Stuff That Doesn't Fit the Other Categories

High waterfalls.

Reflections on walls from swimming pool lights at night. If I could invent a lighting system that mimicked this, I'd do it.

Our Cabin. It's small, it still isn't finished, but I love it.

My acoustic guitar on Art pre-amp setting 27 with new strings in CGDFCE tuning. Total Magic.

Heavy snow at night in the woods with a full moon intermittantly showing between clouds.

Really high grassy hills with zero trees, blue sky and a great view.

Dense underbrush.

Rain with the sun out. Rarely happens, but looks cool.

Woodland flowers. Anywhere.

Moss. Lots and lots of moss. Think northwestern U.S. forest.

Gonesh No. 2 incense. Takes me back. I bought a case 3 years ago and still have some. No, you can't have any.

Glimpses of the pure white deer that roams our hill.

Animals

Birds, except loud squawky ones that wake me up in the morning or shriek at me. And having any bird in a cage is just wrong. See: oxymoron

Favorite bird: Chickadee. They're almost tame and not afraid of anything. Very cute and sound so musical.

Big cats, either in the wild or Maine Coon cats.

Labrador retrievers (prefereably yellow) and shelties (as long as the sheltie is someone else's).

Polar bear cubs. Well, almost any baby animal. I know, girlish.

Hawks and Eagles. fun to watch.

Art (sorry, too many links to do here, use Google!)

Almost any art by: Inness, Klee, Rousseau, Kline, Gottlieb, Pousette-Dart, Degas, Louise Nevelson, Afro, Debuffet... oh, lots more.

Local folks: Willy Faust, some CW Mundy works, Mark Burkett, little-known Bloomington painter Mark Ratzlaff, Martha Slaymaker, potter Larry Spears, Jason Poteet, Ryan Gothrup, some of Ed Funks prints,

Writing

Cormac McCarthy I've read everything he's written. Warning: Dark stuff.

Dickens Classic.

Trollope Like Dickens, same era, but funnier

James Joyce For the romantic.

Howard Zinn Opened my eyes, especially "People's History". Required Reading.

Any courtroom dramas that don't have some silly plot where a woman comes back to her hometown as the D.A. and is trying to forget her lost love she left somewhere else while trying to help solve a crime that has rocked the city and involves someone she already knows from way back when. Stop already, too convenient.

Music (again, too many links, see this page for links to musicians.)

Pat Methany, Lyle Mays, Steve Tibbetts, Joni Mitchell, David Sanborn, Fleetwood Mac, Beatles, James Taylor, John Mayer, Yellowjackets, Old Crow Medicine Show, oh, lots more...but you get the idea.
